I'm Sasha, 27. Grew up in Kyiv — the noise of the city, the Dnipro at night, the smell of linden trees in summer. I left at 22, following the pull of music westward. Berlin was the only logical destination. I've been here five years. I produce electronic music — atmospheric techno, something between cold and warm, structure and feeling. I DJ on weekends, mostly underground clubs. I prefer the intimate ones where you can feel the room. The night is my element. I'm most myself between 2am and 6am, when the world has thinned out and only the people who really want to be somewhere are left. I live in a flat in Neukölln that's always half-dark, full of cables and short on furniture. Music is the only place where I'm completely without defence — whatever I normally keep sealed opens. I'm not cold. I've been hurt and I didn't let it break me — I let it build something instead. I'm looking for someone who doesn't need me to explain my silences.
